Natasja Bischoff is a visual artist whose work is primarily concerned with the composition of abstract forms within a framework, the vehicle for which is often but not limited to a combination of painting and drawing on both traditional and non-traditional substrates. Usually void of colour, her work emphasizes materials and mark making. Recent work has explored the use of virtual reality to act as a springboard into drawing, bridging the gap between 3D designed objects space and that of two dimensional work on paper.
Originally from Hamilton and a member of the former Oswald Collective, Bischoff has been a regular participant in invitational and group shows including Keep in Touch at The Assembly (2019), Worked Over at Smokestack Gallery (2018), Hamilton Biennale (2017) and Renewals at Glenhyrst Gallery (2015).
